“Dr. Saad Saad and his Work To Help the Local West Bank Economy “

When it comes to helping Palestinians within the West Bank, there is no one who has been more instrumental than Dr. Saad Saad. First of all, he has performed surgeries on many individuals who could not otherwise afford it. This would include a poor young Palestinian girl who had the misfortune of being born with her intestines outside of her body. Dr. Saad Saad worked diligently on the little girl, creating for her a makeshift “fig leaf”, so to speak, and doing the painstaking procedure that would allow her intestines to be inside her body where they are supposed to be and like everyone else.

Dr. Saad Saad also performed work on a 15 year-old palestinian boy who had a gunshot w0uld. If it had not been for Dr. Saad, this young teenage child would surely have died. However, Dr. Saad Saad not only gave him this life-saving surgery, but he performed on him with the same attention to detail that he would have a king, president or other important head of state.

Dr. Saad Saad does this for a variety of reasons. One of them would be because he wants to help underprivileged Palestinians who live in Israel be able to get this needed healthcare even if they cannot foot the bill. He realized he was often the last vestige of help these individuals could turn to. However, there were other reasons why Dr. Saad Saad traveled to Palestine at least eight times. He also desired to pass down skills, and frankly, he accomplished that task very well. On his first visit to Palestine in 2008, most of the local doctors just watched him perform surgery. On his last visit in 2015, he was the one watching the other doctors he mentored perform surgeries on other people. Learn more: https://www.md.com/doctor/saad-saad-md

If that weren’t enough, Dr. Saad Saad has also went above and beyond the call of duty in order to help the local economy. He has helped the economy because of the system that is in place. When an individual of Palestinian heritage travels to Israel for a surgery, the cost of the procedure is deducted from Israeli taxes that are paid on behalf of the Palestinian people. Thus, Dr. Saad Saad was not only mentoring new doctors and helping indigent individuals receive much-needed medical care, but he also was giving the infrastructure of Israel a tremendous boost.
